These Terms of Use (Terms) apply to Hally Group Limited (company number 17298107), trading as Hally Writer (we, us or Hally Writer). By creating an account, starting a trial, buying a plan or using Hally Writer, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
1. Hally Writer
Hally Writer is a software service that helps teams create, check and improve written content using brand profiles, content models, quality scoring and AI-assisted features. The service may change as we improve, maintain or secure it. We may also suspend or limit access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or third parties.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information, keep sign-in details secure and ensure that everyone in your workspace follows these Terms. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for selecting appropriate workspace members and permissions.
You must not misuse Hally Writer. In particular, you must not use it to break the law; infringe another person’s rights; submit material you do not have the right to use; introduce harmful code; interfere with the service; attempt unauthorised access; use the service to develop a competing model or service; or generate or distribute content that is deceptive, unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful.
Do not submit special-category personal data, confidential third-party information, health information, payment-card data, government identifiers or other highly sensitive information unless you have a lawful basis, the necessary notices and permissions, and have assessed that use of the service is appropriate. You remain responsible for the information and instructions you submit.
3. AI-assisted content and human review
Hally Writer produces suggestions and draft content. AI-generated or AI-assisted output can be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, biased, outdated or unsuitable for your purpose. You must review, edit, fact-check and approve all output before relying on it, publishing it or using it in a business decision.
Hally Writer is not legal, medical, financial, employment, tax, regulatory or other professional advice. It is not a substitute for qualified human advice or editorial judgement. You are solely responsible for the output you choose to use, including its accuracy, substantiation, compliance, disclosures, intellectual-property clearance and suitability for its intended audience or channel.
4. AI-detection limitation
Hally Writer is designed to help content sound more natural, specific and aligned to your brand. It is not designed or guaranteed to make content undetectable as AI-generated, to bypass AI-detection tools, or to achieve any particular result with any detector, platform, search engine, publisher, school, employer or other system.
AI-detection tools and their results vary, change over time and may produce false positives or false negatives. We do not guarantee that content created, revised or checked using Hally Writer will be classified in any particular way, pass any test, rank in search, perform commercially or be accepted by any third party. Do not use Hally Writer to evade rules, assessments, platform policies or disclosure requirements.
5. Your content and our intellectual property
You retain ownership of the material you submit to Hally Writer (Input). Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we assign to you any rights we may have in the output generated specifically for you (Output). This does not include our service, software, prompts, models, templates, content models, scoring methods, trade marks or other materials, all of which remain ours or our licensors’.
Because AI systems can generate similar or identical results for different users, we do not guarantee that your Output is unique or available for exclusive use, and we do not conduct clearance searches. You grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process and transmit your Input and Output to provide, maintain and secure the service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Plans, payment, cancellation and refunds
Plan prices, billing periods, usage limits and included features are shown at checkout or in the service. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
You may cancel a paid plan from the billing area at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period, then the plan will not renew. We do not provide pro-rated credits or refunds for unused time, unused credits or a change of mind.
All fees are non-refundable, except where we expressly agree otherwise or where a refund is required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer. If you are a consumer and the law gives you a cancellation right, any loss of that right for immediately supplied digital content or services will only apply where we have obtained the consent and acknowledgement required by law.
We may change future plan prices or features by giving reasonable notice. The change will apply from your next renewal unless you cancel before then. You are responsible for applicable taxes, except taxes based on our income.
7. Availability, support and third parties
We aim to keep Hally Writer available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features can depend on third-party providers, including authentication, payment, hosting, email and AI providers. We are not responsible for outages or changes outside our reasonable control.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, fail to pay fees, or where we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. You may stop using Hally Writer at any time; account and workspace closure options are available in the service.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings arising from use of Hally Writer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for Hally Writer in that period. If you use the service free of charge, our total liability is limited to £100.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice through the service or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
